As each channel has its own intensity dial, each pair of electrodes can be controlled separately. This means you can have a stronger sensation in the lower back than in the mid-back area. The Pulse Rate and the Pulse Width are adjustable giving you complete control. The Femme TENS features a detachable hand held 'booster button', which, when depressed, changes the mode from burst to continuous for that extra surge of power needed during contractions.

By detaching the booster button, the Femme TENS is ideal for post-natal use.

What is TENS?

TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, and has successfully been used for many years by pregnant women and professional midwives world wide to treat labour pain.

How does Babycare TENS work?

At the onset of labour, simply apply the four pads to your back as shown in the accompanying instructions and switch the TENS unit on. You will feel a pleasant pulsing sensation. This will help to raise the level your own pain relieving chemicals known as endorphins. When experiencing a contraction, press the booster button for the extra surge of power needed to combat the pain. When the contraction ends, press the booster button again! it's that simple!

Contraindictions

• Do not use before 37 weeks of pregnancy.
• Do not use if you have a demand type pacemaker or suffer from epilepsy.
